That is the theory anyway. Does anyone here know if that is possible?
If you do your diff, put a decent centre (or locker) in it and get it pegged, then put a good set of axles (and cv's & stubs if you are doing the front) in it and you shouldn't break anything.. It would be heaps cheaper and stronger than going to the expense of making up something that doesn't exist.

Sounds to me like someone in the past has swapped a few things over. Does it still have the ABS sensors on the rear axle? I'd say someone broke something, and had a 10 spline complete lying around.

I too though there were no ML is Oz; learn something every day. There would be plenty built in 93, and registered in 94 though.

I was told you can tell by the hubs which spline axle you have?
Here's mine from my '93. Anyone know?

Those axle ends can be either 10 or 24 spline, just drop one out and have a bo peep, its the only definative way

I had completely forgotten to check which model the donor car is....

It has the ABS sensors, I did an axle a couple of weeks ago and it also broke two teeth on the drive gears. So I thought easy fix, I'll just put the gears and axles in from the other one I brok, nope, different sized gears, won't fit. I had to put the centre in from the front diff out of the donor car. Then I find out it has different hubs and axles so the bolts from the 94 axles won't go through the 89 axles, and they are a different thread. Now I have to swap hubs over too.
