Thread: Fuel problems again.

    Fuel problems again.

    89 3.5 injected. Put the foot down,accelerated & then died. Would not start again. Got RAA out & after checking everything concluded it was fuel problem. Pulled the fuel pump fuse & it ran fine but after a while it would die if you tried to acclerate. Replace fuse for pump & it stops straight away. RAA suggested injector stuck open . Can anyone confirm this or have any other suggestions.

    Check the vacuum hose on the fuel pressure regulator, if the reg bursts internally it can flood fuel into the back of the manifold.
