    Starter Motor LSE

How much of a job is it to change over the starter motor on my 94 soft dash Classic LSE? Simple or complicated?

I am thinking of selling it but want it to be spot on when it leaves me so this and a couple of other minor things will be attended to before I advertise it.

    Thanks guys.

Well it can be easy or very hard.
The most important thing is to have a good quality set of allen sockets and a selection of 1/2 drive extensions.
Make sure you have the correct snug allen key as if you strip a bolt head you then have a world of hurt.
I cannot remember whether it is Imperial or metric but you can easily find the most snug by trial and error.

Once you have the bolts off it is pretty easy to manouvre the starter down around teh driveshaft etc if you are a double jointed midget.
remember to disconnect the battery and leads first or Sydney at New year will be dull by comparison.

Also when refitting, take your time to get both bolts back in the thread nice and easy by hand before tightening. I made the rookie mistake of using air tools and stripped the bell housing thread.
