    Help I feel stupid

    Hay all,
Well I moved into a unit in Kew after 10 yrs of apartment living and now I've got a garage, well a grassy driveway!! Super excited, so last week I was finishing off my r380 conversion in a range 1986, then I drop a bush into the grass and now so I had to get some from Sydney..... Yep a 30 min job has turned into 5 days and 30 mins...
I just got some new headlights ad I do it again, I drop a screw which locates the stainless ring which holds the light in.....
Yep I should have moved into a shed like Munro did (worlds fastest Indian)

Any who is there any one near Kew Vic to help? Or trav?

    Cheers nat p

There are some really strong magnets to be found in the magnetron in a microwave oven, beware of the capacitors they will kill you as they store a very high voltage.

If you know a serviceman, ask him to get a couple out for you.

Roadside/verge rubbish collections are your friend... Doubly so as the professional scroungers take the transformers, thus opening them up for you. Said scrounger will have discharged the caps for you..... Bonus.

Pair of pliers, brute force and ignorance to pull them apart, the magnets are just sitting there.

Also useful for holding your nuts...and bolts and screws etc in one place. - Harder for you to lose them, Again.

Those magnetic based steel trays that are available at el cheapo tool shops are great!
Another point.....not all stainless steel items are attracted to magnets.
It depends on the grade of stainless.

I use a magnet out of an old speaker for a ground search.
I'm one stage worse than grass, black stones
