94 RR Classic SRS warning light flashing...
Hi guys any tips or advise, the other day I moved the passenger seat forward on my 94 RR Classic and now I notice the SRS light flashes for about ten minutes then just stays on, now does this mean the airbags are stuffed or can I reset this some way, ive checked the connections under the seat and everything seems in place. Can anyone recommend a place to get this serviced in Perth preferably near Fremantle. Are we looking at a fortune to get this fixed??
Cheers Bruce

Hi Bruce
Just to clarify you are talking about the driver and passenger airbags and not the air suspension lights. If so then if there is a loose connection then the light will need to be reset, by a mechanic who has the appropriate diagnostic setup. If that is all it shouldn't be expensive.
If it is the air suspension then from memory the switches etc are under the drivers seat, so check connections there.
I don't know of any Landy mechanics in Freo. Jordan Rovertech in Bentley would probably be the closest to you or Franzone who have apparently moved to Burswood. Other alternatives are lifestyle 4wd in Morley, Wilf Chambers in Osborne Park or Discovery autos in Wangarra.
Cheers
Steve

G`day Bruce ,
moving the seat should have nothing to do with the SRS .
The furthest rear component of the SRS is the ECU which is under the centre console , using the ecu as a starting point , the wiring goes fwd under the console to under the dash and branches left and right , nothing near the pass seat .
Was anything else done or happen at the time .
When we got ours the SRS light would stay on .
Took it to a place with autologic and nothing was achieved couldn`t even talk to the ecu , took it to a place with Testbook , no drama and cleared with a list of errors logged .
Yours may not be a straight forward reset but it may well be also .
Manual suggests removal of power source for 20 minutes before working on SRS , then you can safely disconnect and reconnect but be sure if you have the eurovox that you have the code to reset .
It will still need the fault cleared if you have a solid light .

I stuffed my SRS light by (not thinking...) powering up the car with an airbag unplugged... When I first got the Event Horizon and was fiddling with Cruise Control switches.
It now stays on and pulsates...
One day I WILL get down to Kevin at JRT...
