    Electric transfer shifting

    Ok Lad's,
With my 351/4R70 conversion I've used a ZF 6spd shifter from a BF Falcon. It was some work to adapt but it works very nicely and I'll soon have the sequential shifting working too. I was going to make a pair of cable operated shifters for the LT230 but I was thinking of possibly electric operation as seen on other vehicles. I know the 230 can be a bastard of thing to shift at the best of times so I imagine any Electric(or maybe air) motor is going to need considerable torque!?

12v linear actuator (jackscrew) has more than enough torque for what you need, I used a much smaller version to vector twin engine thrust in one of my RC vtol aircraft, there is no way you could stall it.

I would not think force shifting the LT230 would be a very good idea...

    Thanks guy's,
Just had a look at the P38 one and it looks just like a Ford one but triple the price.

Goingbush, that one looks like it might do the job except It looks a tad large.

I'm going to need two or maybe I can use a D2 cable shifter for the high/low and the motor for the Diff lock.
