Thread: Bonnet Release Cable

Hi all..

Can I start by saying there's some great info on this forum !!!

Can anyone give me a heads on how to open my bonnet with a broken release cable ? It seems the cable has broken at the bonnet catch end as most of the line has come out from inside the cabin.

Can I open my bonnet without damaging anything? I had a fiddle with it today but with a high mount winch in the way it seemed rather challenging ?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Firstly see if you can release it by pushing the locking slide to the side with a long screwdriver - if this is a bit difficult get someone to lean down on the bonnet to take up some of the spring pressure while you try it
