    LT95 wont engage low range

asking question on behalf of Denis at Coonabarabran Computers who helped me out with a Nanocom firmware upgrade.

He has a 83/4 RRC that wont engage Low Range , it selects neutral instead.

Could this be a linkage adjustment or does the lever go straight into the box,
its almost 30 years since I've played with an LT95 an the memory is not that good.

    thanks ..Don

Theres a few possibilities there Don, Could be the roll pin where the lever joins the cross shaft, the pinch bolt on the selector finger, the selector jaws out of adjustment or most likely excessive endfloat on the intermediate shaft as a result of worn thrust washers. Quite common on standard roller bearing shafts. Usually by the time you find it there is damage to the selector dogs on the gears.
