1990 Range Rover Classic - What guages?

    Hi All,

I have a new 1990 RRC that I am building up for reliability and Long range Driving.

I am new to the world of range rovers and I am wondering if there are any known problems that I can prevent / observe with after market gauges?
IE would coolant temp / exhaust temp be useful in Identifying an overheating engine? is there anything else that I should be looking for a gauge for?

This may be a stupid question but in my previous hilux I had boost, Exhaust temp, coolant temp, oil pressure. And I would like something similar but more relevant to the Range Rover.

    Thanks for any advice!

The RR engine is very susceptable to expensive damage from just one overheating event.

I'd say the first gauge to fit is an engine saver of some type - there are a few diffferent types around - it reads the presence of coolant and/or rising block temperature and alerts you if a problem is occuring so that you can turn the engine off before terminal [and expensive] damage occurs.
