    Body Lift Questions

    Hi All,

I have a new RRC that im playing with. And I am going to do a 2 inch body lift to get some room under the guards.

Just a few questions if anyone can help.
How many body blocks will I need (I would check but its raining here)?
Is there anything that will need extending while doing the lift (besides the steering shaft)?

Any known problems with a body lift?

    Thanks for any advice!

Have a look at the Les Richmond Automotive site. His White tiger kit hasd everything needed.
Even if you don't want to pay , there are many things you have to think of like extended seat belt anchors, supports for the rear floor over the wheels, and so on.

Radiator mounts are apparently different. Like PhillipA says LRA explain it on there website and have a picture of all the parts in the kit. I do also agree that LRA are way over priced. But if you find a good deal elsewhere please let me know because I also want to do a 2'' body lift. I've also found flares for $550, they are plastic but $800 from LRA is insane.

What size tires do you intend to run. I ask because im going to run 33'' and i've been told i need 25mm offset rims to do so.

I believe M R Automotive at Redcliffe also have a body lift kit, although I have no idea about the pricing of it.

    Hi guys,

Im going to have a go at a body lift without the kit just 12 blocks and 2" longer bolts.

I will work out the transfer/gearshift leaver and the seatbelt mounts as I am going.

I plan to run 33" tires in the long run but I havn't really thought that far ahead yet.

    Thanks for all your advice!

Let me know how you go. Don't forget about the brake lines, consider fully extended springs.

    Good luck.
