I still have not fitted mine yet. Will probably do this weekend. But I found some more extractors on eBay if anyone is interested. Not sure if they would fit a defender as well, as stated in the description. But he purchased them for his disco so assuming he didn't stuff that up they should fit a classic and D1.

I fitted a set of Genie extractors off a 3.9 onto my 3.5 today. The only trouble i had was the Y-Pipe does not clear the transmission sump. It is sitting against it. I've wrapped heat resistant insulating material around the pipe and used metal tape to make sure it stays there.

They bolted onto the engine and cleared the chassis rails just fine.

So i'd say it will work the other way as well. I can't see any reason why it would not.

I'm not sure if they have given me much more power. But they have given me a greater power band. My 3.5 pulls harder from lower revs and is smoother up the top. The gears also seem to change better when the peddle is to the floor boards compared to the original headers.

It does give the feel of about a 15% increase in power, i just think it is the same power it's always had only it's available at lower revs now.
