    74 upper rear tail gate and a drivers seat

    Hi All, i have moved from blowing up Disco 300tdi's into CRR territory with the purchase yesterday of a 1974 classic. it is in quite good nick, but teh rear tailgate is rusted out and the driver's seat has been replaced with a Recaro type thing.

    Where are people buying their rear upper tail gates from these days and at what price?

    Where can i get a half decent original driver's seat from? Original colour is reddish, but not so fussy about that.

    I have a half decent drivers seat. It's out of a later model 4 door but still with the seatbelt in the seat. The rubber base is immaculate and was only fitted about 2 years ago. Has not had many ass hours as the truck was broken for most of the time and I then replaced it with an even more immaculate seat I bought off ebay.

    Unfortunately yes. The foam is good and the rubber base as new so I guess you could get it retrimmed? You wont find any good vinyl ones anymore. Retrim is the only option unfortunately

    It's OK, I have found one, although if anyone has a really early one which is pre-retractable seat belts, i would like one, to keep it original.

    There are a few crowds making new Aluminium upper tailgates for the classics. Not cheap though.
