If that was the case, what's the story with running rear bags on the front of the P38?
If the bags are dead on your classic, why not place a wanted here for some dead bags out of a P38 (freebies 'cos there just scrap).... 1 front and 1 rear would suffice. You could compare them externally with yours, then cut the in half and ensure they are the same structure wise :cool:

Very interesting. Can you measure these for me? I have 2 classic rears on order. If they work on the front. Then that's where they'll go. If not they'll go on the back and I can go stock for fronts.Quote:

That makes sense. I was concerned there might be valving or "air movement" restriction valves in the heads of the bags that aren't visible without cutting them open. If they did, this would change the behavior of the bag ( therefore you need different front/rears even though the bags are the same ).Quote:

Sounds tempting... My recurring nightmare is one (or more...) of my ARNOTTS units leaking... unrepairable AFAIK, lots more expensive than the single bladder at around $90 each.
If the front and rear can take the longer ("rear") bag, that makes carrying a spare bag for each end easier. Only ONE needed, not two.

Yes we shall see. I know if I carry a spare air-sleeve then I'll never need one. I've got no sub-woofer so heaps of space right there to carry a spare of each if required.Quote:

From the two photo's you can see the rear airbag man classic bellow is approx 70mm LONGER than the front arnots P38 bellow.
its an airbag man AB0002 and an arnots 1E01.
They both have an approx 70mm hole at top and bottom.
Compare an Arnotts Gen III P38 rear bag to the airbag man bag. I think you'll find the rear bags on a P38 are longer than the fronts.
