LPG tank
Hi everyone, I have a '90RRC that was converted to LPG about 3 years ago. I wanted to retain the long range fuel tank but keep as much usable space in the cargo bay as possible. The scuba system reduced the height too much and a tank behind the seats took too much room. I had the gas system, injected vapour to a 4.6 motec, installed by Graeme Cooper Automotive in Sydney. With the help of GCA and a lot of research by me, we finally settled on a vertical "donut" tank, of 80 litres, installed hard on the right side of the cargo bay, removing the shelf and repositioning the cd stacker. Thus tank was designed to be installed in a Ford Territory but with an adjustment to the mounting hardware it fitted beautifully, taking up about as much space as the spare wheel. I have the spare mounted on the rear bar wheel mount. This system has also been installed in Disco's.I have been so happy with this configuration that I am going to install it in my '95 Classic. The gas system has been removed from 90 ready to install in the 95.I hope this is of some help to anyone in a similar situation to me. Cheers, Phil. Please note that the tank is sitting in approx position.
