    rrc snorkel for classic

hi all, i used too have a 78 2 door roc, and i fitted a snorkel on it from john davies in sydney , in 95. it cost $300 dollars without fitting kit and it made a huge difference. i want one for my lse rrc. does any body know if that company still sells them? they looked nice and worked well. i don't want too make a pvc pipe one, they look budget. or do any forum members have one lying around? cheers all. mark

I bought mine through MR Automotive. Below is a link for what I have, you need both the snorkel and the plumbing kit.

I'm making one at the moment from 3" exhaust pipe.

I'm lobster backing the pipe to create the bends, looks good and it's cheap.

I haven't done it yet, (as usual), but I was going to use 3" pipe and some mandrel bends from eBay. I might use something to cover the welds as it will be hard to grind them flush.

The one I made for a mate of mine only had one bend at the snorkel head and I just welded it after one cut. Under the scuttle panel I just used a 3" silicone 45 degree bend, some more straight pipe and aother silly hose under the bonnet.

If it helps, there is a Mantec snorkel kit on Ebay at present. Under vehicles, parts, air intake. I think. Seller is in the Blue Mountains. Cheers

The only bend you can see is the one near the head anyway, mine enters the scuttle panel and the bend is hidden, then has a FLEXI hose up to a 90 degree bend I made with a 3" to 2.5" adaptor into the air box, next I'll have to seal the air box.

    Cheers
