    GU/LC diffs install

    Hey guys,

seen lots of talk about changing for a patrol front diff and L/C rear diff, but is the a write up/tech file with a step by step on whats involved?

Some mention it bolt in but then other talk about welding chassis mount on. I'm a bit confused.

I assume your run the diffs end to end so you'd need to run cruiser/patrol rims. which only fit on 1 way (i think patrol fit cruiser but not vise versa?)

Occasionally this comes up. I've never really paid much attention. But one of the things i noticed people talking about is if the diff center was on opposite side. It all seems like too much trouble and welding was required on all the ones i read about.

Many people opt to run stronger axles with a pegged and locker diff center. Often upgraded CV's as well. I think you effectively get the same strength plus the bonus of approx. 2" more ground clearance. I'm pretty sure the price for each option in about the same.
