    rear axle nut

    Can any tell me what size is the ( 2 of ) nut on the rear axle of a classic
    24 spline size is .....2 1/4 " ??

    52mm

    If it is the 2 nuts that hold the wheel hub to the axle then they are 52mm (I think).

    I bought the box spanner to fit the nuts from Four Wheel Drives Pty Ltd, Largest Range of 4x4 Parts and Accessories in Australia.

    We bought a 52mm Impact Socket (3/4 inch with adaptor to 1/2 inch) from Trade Tools having bent/twisted the hub spanner/metal rod purchased from a LR parts supplier.
