The original way the Dakar was sold was in the uk was to replace the RRC Body that had rusted away.
You had a good rolling chassis but the body no longer passed the MOT ( roadworthy ) so instead of scrapping the car you replaced the body with the Dakar body.
And the bodies do rust a lot in the UK so much that RRC classic are very rare now in the uk, and now fetch really stupid money.
