    Timing covers

I'm building a 4.6 and plan to run a carby and dizzy. I'd prefer to run a serp belt over v's but unsure which cover to use. I found a cover at work which has a crank driven oil pump and a dizzy hole. Hopefully this one is ideal just wanted to see your opinions.

    Cheers,
    Mitch

Not sure but I think you will need a 3.9 timing cover - also when you do the cam shaft you will need to get a 3.9 camshaft but with cam profile for the 4.6. The 4.6 cam is shorter and cannot drive a dizzy.

As I understand the cam profile on the 4.6 is different to 3.5/3.9s - i assume to allow more fuel in etc but I am not aware of the specifics.
