No probs with the info gathering Pete, but I had to delete the 2 mentions of value you asked about. All good mate.
Oh, and the 'what's it worth' is available only to subscribers.
Cheers.
Hi Gav,
I didn't know there was a "what's it worth" section. I'm trying to find out about them in general including how rare or sought after they may be. Not after a value in dollars. Hope that's OK.

Only pic I could find on the net of a capstan on an RRC, it seems to look like a series unit mounted up. If you can make a bracket that lines the drive up with the centre of the crank, then you're all sorted. On a series it sits back out of the way - on an RRC it sticks out a bit. I suppose you could make up a bull bar to fit it all up.

Thanks guys. Here is a pic of the Classic version which mounts behind the grill and the original bumper is retained. I'll have another look at this one and get some pics.

They look like a series winch tacked on the front.
The factory Rangie capstan winch was hidden behind the grill. Much neater.
The Darien Gap Rangies had them fitted. You can see it there if you look closely.
Ha Ha . Great minds think alike. Disco Pete beat me to it. Never mind , its a different view.
