So not much different to a standard, old and flogged out Range Rover? :p

I welcome the idea of a 454 RRC being created and it's not like it would be lacking room for a cooling system to cope with the powerplant.

Besides, next step when going from small block to big block, is a big blower. I would pay many monies to see a 8/71 sticking out of the bonnet of a RRC with a lumpy big block thumping underneath it.

Just sayin'...

So you have a clapped out rover underpowered classic rangie , You have a big block and tranny lying around , You have the urge , I say just do it for your self and let everyone else drool ;)

454 and larger versions do come in all aluminium. Low $$$$$ per horsepower. Chevrolet Performance had a comprehensive display of their after market engines at the 2013 Indy 500. A blown big block was about US$17,000 from memory.

And thats why I din't bother with Chevs etc anymore. It's easier just to call Jegs and buy a crate engine and ship it over. I actually had a guy ask once if a LHD engine would fit his RHD car.

Go for it, I say.
However, with one proviso, this will be a big job, with severe consequences if not researched/engineered properly.
It'll be an exciting project, but make sure you do your "homework" first.
