About to start on a ute project
Hey Guys, how's it going?
New here to the site and have just brought my first 4x4 project! It's a 1978 Range Rover 2 door converted to a ute. Built in ccda spec cage, 3 inch suspension lift, 2 inch body lift, NSX one piece electric seats, chromoly four link rear end, rear mount radiator and thermo fans with stainless water lines, running GQ TD42 gearbox, transfer case and diffs, plus it was running a holden efi 355 and came with engineer papers for it all.
Now i picked it up fairly cheap because he had started to stip parts. So i am missing engine, gearbox and transfer case plus the engine loom.
I know about the adapter kits from either Marks4x4 or Castlemaine Rod shop so that's all straight forward. My questions is to do with the wiring.
Firstly, has anyone done something similar before and could give some handy tips?
Second, anyone know any suppliers of wiring kits or plug and play looms to make life easy or is it just as easy to modify standard holden loom into the Rangie wiring (probably what I'll do). Any hints on doing this? Forums? Videos? web sites? wiring diagrams?
Sometimes it's pretty hard to figure out what other people have done to make things work.. And sometimes i don't agree or like how they bodged things up.
Anyway any information would be greatly appreciated!!
Cheers
Mick
