    1985 Brake Bleading

When it stops raining I need to go and bleed the brakes on my 1985 after fitting a new brake booster.

Any tips? Any traps to watch out for?

Have you blead brakes before? They are twin spots on the front with three bleed screws on each caliper. If you still have fluid on the lines it will be much easier.
Fill the reservoir then pump the brake peddle. Hold the brake peddle down and release the bleed screw until the pressure is gone then close jt again on the furtherest caliper from the reservoir. Rear passenger side. Continue until you get new fluid out with no bubbles. Then the next furtherest away. Rear drivers side. Repeat same steps. Keep checking the reservoir to make sure it never gets empty. When you get to the front start with the front passenger side and the top bleed screw. I hope you have done this before and it is easier with 2 people. The key is communication so you don't such air into the lines.

Get a one-man bleeding kit. Many variations exist but they are simply a short hose with a one-way valve on the end.
Fit, crack nipple, pump a few times, close nipple, top-up reservoir and move onto next.

Repeat from furtherest brake nipple to shortest and back again until you get a hard pedal.
