That's the one that was on Gumtree right? Thanks for buying it, before I did! Then I'd have 6 old Range Rovers in the driveway/front yard/back yard/shed.
Let me know if you want to sell it..........
Evening all,
Picked up an early 2 door today. Not sure what the plans for it are yet but will give it a clean up and service and see what we have to play with. Need a starter motor and some points to begin with!

Haha no worries. I already have a 78 and a mates just bought a mint 73 so this old girl will probably get sacrificed to keep the others mobile. Give us a message if you need any bits.
Just how early is it? Because they're getting restored these days and you may find someone wants it for that.
If you do wreck it, keep every 2-door part you can as people are always looking for door furniture, glass, and so on. I know this because not long after I threw out some 2-door parts there was someone here looking for the same bits! (I didn't have the heart to say anything, though . . .)
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.
Davo it's the 108th RHD export 2 door ever made, going by the chassis number. Pretty sure the ad on Gumtree said it was a 72, which would make sense... So it could be one of the earliest remaining export 2 doors around come to think of it.
If it's fairly rust-free, maybe it would be worth putting it on eBay UK? I know they've definitely reached "collectible" status over there.

Early 72 ,
start 356 in 72 is 00069
00068 is 71 only 00006 to 00068 rhd export in 71
70 is 00001 to 00005
69 is none
If i was near it i wouldn`t be wrecking it .
Recently found another one 35600334A, this one has been on the beach a bit so some surface rust on chassis and body. Lots of original parts in the interior though, hoping to pick it up over Christmas break.
Finally got around to picking up the old girl. It's a fair bit better than I remembered!
Got it running and took it around the block, pulls well, no nasty noises, bit of rust from beach work but nothing serious. Lots of early original parts in the interior, all matching numbers driveline.... Lots of original Tuscan blue poking it's head through too!
Would post some pics but according to the app (tapatalk) it's not possible anymore?
