Front drivers Door Hard to Open

Hi Guys, My front door has been bugging me for quiet some time. When you try to opening it from the outside the handle runs out of travel and you have to pull it approx 3-4 times.
Is there an easy fix for this before I pull it apart?

I had a similar issue with my D2a, I ended up spraying some WD40 into the handle area and over the locking mech on the door side. Never been an issue since.

Door mechanisms on Classics / D1's are a regular adjustment item...

If the car hasn't been used too much for kids, the RH rear door will give you an idea of how it should feel.

You are currently in danger of breaking the handle-thingie.
Get hold of RAVE, study the diagrams / proceedure...and find a pair of very long nose pliers /long-handled long nose pliers to make the job easier. (Cheapies will do)
Folk usually put it off, or get used to the handle reaching the end of travel as the lock releases. Ideally, you need this to occur so that the handle doesn't get anywhere near it's limit, or even where it gets stiff.

Bear in mind that the handle came from the Morris Marina, and I suspect the internals did too.
