    Seats.....more specifically,seat belts

.........Okey Dokey, now that I've started world war III with my first post on this forum, lets try for something, hopefully, less antagonistic

My seat are just about knackered, but the big question is how do I get around the built in seatbelts. Is there another vehicle that has seats with in-built belts that I can use or do I have to cut and brace the body for pillar mount belts and go through the whole engineering horror ??

All help appreciated, but lets keep it to a dull roar this time, OK ?

ritters in Melbourne used to make a kit that transferred the seat belt to the pillar. It was basically a steel bar that slid down inside the pillar that had the thread in it for the seat belt bolt and two holes so you could pop rivet it to the pillar.

You can still 2 door seat belts from "roverparts.com.au" or you certainly coulda few months ago when I looked. They have them specially made...about 150 bucks I think. Very easy to fit.

OK......looks like you cant do much with seat belts without major surgery and RTA/RMS engineers. I spoke to Ritters and RoverParts, very helpful , but no joy .....so it looks like repairs to the original seats for now.

I am after some 2 door seats to go in the back of my shooting buggy.....need the inbuilt belts to keep the kids locked in a little better. If they are going to the tip.....happy to save them !
