Thread: 1977 RRC 2 Door resto project

I just recently purchased a 1977 2 door RRC from discopete with the idea (madness) to restore back to factory, or at least as close as I can get given availability of parts and so on.

I have given myself a couple of years, maybe 3 to complete. I have never done something this big before, so first thing to do is read up on other similar projects and see what I can plan out. Of course, I also would like your experience and how you went about a resto project if you had done so before.

Ill be doing a video diary of the build, trying to capture as much detail as possible so I suspect ill be having a substantial collection by the time I am done.

Well so far I am just in preparation stage for the rebuild (I am almost done with the caravan!) and doing little things like cleaning, treating the vinyl seats and dash and all those tinkering like a kid waiting for Christmas.

I have also started to build a list of bits I need, and most I have sourced but a few things I am after. Not sure if this is the place to put a WTB given the age specific RRC, so mods let me know.
