So second hand pump in and it starts but when it warms up it stalls. Could it be a sensor. I knew it wasn't the pump.

Doess it run ok when cold ? If so try heating the ignition module with a hair drier (or heat gun) and see if it cuts out as soon as it's warm.

Ok odd but will try it
theres a few other things that it might be but if its starting and running till it warms up as part of your fault finding as soon as it starts to struggle field check the fuel pressure that eliminates almost every part of the EFI system. next get some freezenrelease or similar and give the amp and the dizzy a squirt and if that lets you get a restart you've found the culprit.
you wait till you get the one that will work when its warm but wont work properly when its cold.
Not really, electronic componets, especially ignition modules and flywheel/TDC sensor going open circuit when hot isn't at all unusual. The usual fault is the car stopping and refusing to restart when stuck in traffic in hot weather(ie: lots of heatsoak under the bonnet). Yet by the time RACV/etc get there and tow it ... the damn car will start and run perfectly again. Fun right ?

Haha yeah sounds right haha
So I took the Rangie for a run and drove great. No stalling at all. Then the next day I stopped at some lights and all of a sudden it stuttered and dropped revs and stalled. Put in neutral and it will idle and not stall. Any ideas ??
Hi all I decided to time it today and found it was on the notch of the balancer. When I tested tdc the markings lined up so I wound it back and it seemed fine. Then stopped at a intersection and stalled but wouldn't start. I got the timing to 6dg before tdc think it might be better at 8 or 10
At least 10 degrees will see it run heaps better - these engines can take a wad load of advance.
