LT95 into 1993 Classic Rangie
Hi,
Am after experiences with this task.
I like the LT95 (keeps going through thick and thin though rough as bag underwear
) but need to move it to a later model body (1993) as my current body has cracked B-pillars.
Problem is that the later model body has a different transmission tunnel with lower seat mountings. The drivers side seat mountings in particular would not clear the LT95 transfer case. This means that I cannot simply reshape the transmission tunnel to fit the LT95?
I could install a lift kit (like JC did here in Tas) but from my measurements the kit would need to add 2" to get the transmission tunnel up over the LT95. Also expensive to get a kit and many unknowns (for me) like changes to springs, shocks, brake lines etc etc?
Someone must have done this before (or maybe not as most seem to want to junk the LT95 in favour of the less robust LT77/R380
) - any experience would be appreciated. Thanks!
Simon

Just fit one into a disco1, (lt95 tcase adapted to turbo700), had to lift the body 1" to clear the trans tunnel

Thanks! Body lift kits under 2" seem to be not too scarey either. Appreciate your response
