    Soft dash Ls1

Was down at pickles damaged auctions today to look at a soft dash highly modified Ls1 supercharged rangie Classic that had been in salt water.
Looked OK had sill tanks long range main tank ,winch, modified dials on the dash ,modified rear diff and huge massive tyres and rims. Thought ok maybe can get it for 2 k or more.........the bidding started at 10k and finally sold for 27k....WTF
It was damaged and in salt water and wasn't on the stat write off list..
Did look real nice and yes there was evidence of sand and rust on the dash screws and inside the indicators and on top of the back window.
I had a look at the service sticker on the window and it was due in about 6k and was being serviced by someone in Albany south west of WA. So I am guessing someone spent a lot of money on it who lives down that way. Anyone here know?
Sorry I didn't get any pics

That one went for 7k but was a bit ratty inside and out.
The rubber on the top back window was perished missing broken , dirty inside door trims .Seems from what I saw it was never undercover always in the sun.
    7 k probably. Ok
What does your brother look like? Tall? Scraggly hair?

It was an LSA engine, poor guy swamped it on a beach in WA soewhere..26.5k is still pretty steep for a car thats drowned in salt water, you can pretty much kiss all the electricals, conectors and body work goodbye imo.

LRA just put up post on insty and facebook regarding this https://m.facebook.com/story.php'sto...23272294526880

Whoever "Jason Curry" is on facebook needs to pull his head in, extremely bad form, especially considering the massive loss involved, very bad form.

Feel sorry for owner .....we all know how attached we are to our Rangies.

Would be a dream to be able to afford a build like that and as others have said i would have been guttered at the loss.....even the best drivers get caught out.

The new purchaser obviously thinks they can get it back on the road ....nobody drops those $$ to wreck it and it would be nice to see it back on the road .....could only be a Landrover tragic .....

Meccles that wasn't you wanting a 4 door to sit beside your 2 door classic

    Baggy
