CB Question
Wiring up the CB this weekend, where can I run the Coaxial cable through the fire wall? Preferably passenger side. The plan is to mount the antenna on the front bull bar.
THANKS!

Does the coax have a fitting on the end, or is it bare cable to which you'll fit the connection?
The screw on connection is usually a PL259, but not always!
I usually fit the PL259 after the coax has been routed to minimise the size of the hole(s) required.
As I remember on my classic(very basic 79 model) wayyyy back when .. there was an access hole on the (LH)side of the passnegers footwell which entered into the void between the outer wing and the inner wing, just ahead of the A pillar.
The access hole has a plastic bung to seal it off.
It was a bit of a pain to get your hand through(in the void), but a good length of coat hanger wire is usually helpful.
Once the wire was caught and run to it's finished location, I taped up the hole using duct tape/gaffer tape.(many layers to be sure).
So I did the same with the D1 coax routing a few weeks back.. same method, but this time I had a helper to prod around with the coat hanger wire looped at the end to 'grab' the coax wire.
I don't like drilling too many holes in the firewall area, and try to use what's available.
