    Seats in my 93 LSE

Over the electrics and the flat seat base but love the Connelly leather, back support is good

Do I bite the bullet for recaros , try and build the bits onto manual RRC seats with more padding edge of seats or look for other black leather seats?

Rivet counters, car has r380 lockers cut guards etc so not fussed on originality

    Seats in my 93LSE

    Hi Lockee

    Understand your pain.

Ive a 92 SE Yogue and besides the switches missing I need to look at the box under drivers seat which also operate the electric mirrors which of course don't work either.

From some of the posts re electric seats it depends on the condition of your circuit board but seat switches are expensive (if you can find them) though someone said they are the same as used on some Volvo models

Prone to crap falling into switches due to the stupid position of them.
I don't like all the electrics but. LSE like yours are becoming rare nd possibly worth trying to repair them.

I saw a pair of learner seats off a 89 Rangie (same style) but manual .... unfortunately didn't have the $$$ to buy them before they were sold ....... bugger

I'm keeping my eyes open for any as I'd like to keep interior original ...

Keep us posted on what you decide and post photos if you fit Recaro seats

    Cheers

    Baggy

i brought some beautiful Mercedes seats on fleabay. Far cheaper than Recaro's. Full electrics which I got local sparky to convert to manual switches. There are heaps of great seats out there now.

Same switches as in some Mercedes cars...where they're mounted - where they should be- on the top/front of the door cards.... where 'stuff' cannot fall into them, the sun can't reach them nor can be sat upon by grossly obese RR owners.

    or their Rubenesque spouses.

The design of the switches, - the leverage aspect - is not as well thought out as their Designers would like to think... Basically, they depend on 'everything else' working perfectly.

I had a Renault 16 seat in my old '74 Passat (Audi Fox 80) for 5 years. Worth its weight in Unobtanium on long drives.

    - Stored for a while, then migrated into my first Brand - New car, a Holden HX/Z V8.

You'll struggle to find a Renault 16 seat these days. My family used to put them into kombi vans too (along with Scorpion engines in there tails and radiators up front on the bullbar).

Or other idea strip the leather covers and reform the bases of manual rangie seats. Best of both worlds
