    RRC Seat ECU Access

I have a 1994 RRC that has just succumb to the dreaded electric seat / mirror ECU failure. When I try to move the seat it moves the mirrors but not vice versa. I just purchased a replacement battery from eBay but can't seem to figure out how to access the ECU. I can see it is directly under the seat and have removed the front panel, held in place with a single plug, but I have no idea how to get past the motors. Any advice would be regatly appreciated.

Would there be better access if the seat is removed?
I don't have the luxury of electric seats so I cant check on mine.
Hopefully someone may know if there is an easier way.
    Cheers, Kyle

Remove the seat... there is no other way.

You will need a fancy socket for 2 of the bolts, the other two are standard ALLEN keys.... No, I have no idea why Land Rover did this, another moment of stupidity is my guess...
ECU is attached to the seat underside.
You may find that the ECU battery has leaked....and damaged some of the printed circuit board tracks.

Take lots of pics from every angle before you start work on it...
