Heavy duty panhard rod (adjustable?) Does anyone know who makes them?

I'm looking for a quality heavy-duty adjustable panhard rod for the RRC. Doesn anyone know who makes them? The drop-arm and track rod are already maxidrive heavy duty ones, but they don't do a panhard rod apparently.

Anyone have a line on where to look?

    thanks
    Joe

    Do you really need one?
What is wrong with the factory one?

Wouldn't have asked the question if I didn't need it.

The factory one bends when it meets inanimate objects on trails.. like large granite boulders or hidden tree stumps. . It is also not adjustable.

The adjustment is required to correct the axle housings position relative to the chassis with the longer springs fitted, to allow correct geometry through the entire articulation range..

"My opinion " is more than 40 mm spring lift on rover suspension is counter productive.

If the steering arm from the box bends when you crash into stuff or overload it, good. Let it bend , easier to bend it back than repair steering box.
Same goes for panhard the shock load that bends the bar is an easy fix , if you stiffen the bar what goes next. Unless you are constantly bending panhard rods I would just winch it straight to get home.
The entire articulation range doesn't change much unless you go three link.
I have been breaking rover stuff for a while now.
    Feel free to disagree

I think the obvious question here is: wouldn't a steering guard be better? I know they get in the way, etc., etc., but if you're hitting things that regularly then it might be the better way to go.

Yes, I had one. It's now scrap.

I'm pretty careful about how I place my wheels, but this time there was nothing that could be done. The damage occurred when some rock gave way and the vehicle slid backwards about a foot. Stray piece managed to wedge itself between the diff and bashplate and the impact drove it upwards between the panhard and diff, missing the drop link by a couple inches. any further and it might have been the steering box as well.

I've emailed apt fabrications to see if they make one. Will soon find out I guess.

Their bashplate looks good as well - they seem to make decent stuff, if the website is anything to go by.

Bloody hell! I see what you mean! Hopefully that was a one-off. It's certainly unusual, collecting rocks like that. This is what I was looking at: APT Steering Guard | Discovery 1 | Range Rover They have a good description, (though what is this American-style "eastern seaboard" they speak of???), and it seems to be far better than a lot of the typical junk out there. I was going to get one, but will make one instead because of various odd reasons.

Thanks to the guys who sent me PM's and to those of you who also suggested I get in touch with Ben, He's sorting out a solution for me and I should have a new Super-Heavy-Duty one and a new bashplate soon

    cheers
