Howdy. My RRC door opener stoppers don't appear to have any halfway point holding tension, unlike the D2.
Is this normal as has been suggested, or just worn metal straps or?
If normal, has anyone tried using later model systems (eg D2?) to give more door control and stop them swinging all the way open and banging into adjacent cars when opened?

I had a look at this on mine the other day for you, and no, there's no "halfway" point, the doors just open. I suppose it keeps you on your toes! Now if only there was some way to keep other people from banging their doors into my car . . . which is one reason I avoid the busy section of car parks.

I also will be looking with interest at Gavins results....
Its a ongoing issue with SWMBO .... who parks her New Territory over the dividing line in our carport and then gets
annoyed that the passenger doors on the classic is resting against her car when they are open.

SupporterOh, this issue is the easiest of all fixed .... stick the territory out on the street and buy soemthing fun and interesting to occupy the spot beside the classic. I've noticed old V8 benzes are worth nothing ... I reckon one of them could be a bit of fun for hardly any money

Hahahaaaa There is NO such thing as a "cheap Mercedes-Benz" Don't bankrupt the poor bloke.
