    Earlier classic front quarter windows

G'day Guys, just wondering if anybody knew if the front quarter windows from a two door are the same as the ones in the early four door models? The frames in my '81 are rusted out so need to try and replace.

    Many thanks in advance,
    Dave

No they're different, the early 4 door quarter lights are smaller than the 2 door ones.

Trav knows his stuff, I was wrong.

It's getting harder to find nice 2 door 1/4 frames.

The threaded bit with the spring is an easy fix but when the actual frame is rotten there's not much you can do.

Haven't seen repro / aftermarket anywhere.

I had to give up on these also ended up removing frames and fixing glass into a backing frame as “permanently “ closed. As you say everyone I could find glass frame was rotten and $$ to fix not worth it for something that the only real use for them was flicking cigarette ash outEarlier classic front quarter windows

    Quarter windows

Thankfully I have a couple of rust free ones for my 2 door resto, one day when I get around to starting it.

you can use a 4 door frame and add a piece from rusted 2 door frame all silicones to 2 door glass.almost invisible and opens and closes well.

Never thought of that, you can make anything fit if you try hard enough
