My 1985,(ADR plated Jan 1985) is the first of the 5 speed gearbox models(LT77) and also the first of the pointless ignition models, fitted with 175 CD Stromberg carbs.love the old girl, even if it is the pre-swaybar model,86 was first with front bar.

If they went to 3.9 in Range Rovers in 1990 then why did they fit 3.5's to First few years of Discos?

Maybe needed to justify the price premium for the RR.

Used in the BOP (Buick Oldsmobile Pontiac) range of compact cars introduced late 1959 as 1960 model year. The engine family had a number of capacities and outputs including a turbocharged version. Ended up as the Buick 300 with thinwall high duty iron block casting and aluminium heads.
