They seem to like a bit of a lay down.

This is why ROPS makes sense, but the useless troglodytes in the govt don't feel the same when it comes to certifying them.
Yeah ... overcooked it a lot. I've said before ... and I'll say it again ... they area bastard to catch if they step out ( the weight and soft suspension flings the tail back out int he other direction everytime). I simply should have been far slower. I drive through there a couple of times a day. There is usually huge piles of loose gravel pushed to the outside of the corner.... but someone had been up there doing donuts in it and spread a nice big smattering of marble sized rocks across the track. The odl rangie stepped out massively as soon as I hit it. I was 150% certain I was going to end up on the roof the second it happened. As I've experienced it stepping out many times when I deliberately provoke it.... only this was down a steep hill.... and I'd slid into the very loose gravel on the edges which meant it was all over as I couldn't get it straight before I hit the trenches down the side of the road.,.... I needed almost full opposite lock to get it straight. Whenever this happens it ALWAYS massively overshoots and steps out the other way to quickly for you to wind the steering back (or that softness, weight and articulation works against you).
My 13 year old daughter in the car wasn't overly impressed ... Though she did think it was "really cool" climbing out .....the damn thing teatered for what seemed like 15 seconds ( probably 0.025 seconds ) deciding if it would fall back onto the wheels .... or fall over. It chose fall over bugger it all.
The mirror was easy to change... So I can drive it to work tomorrow. The poor thing is just going to look very battle scarred until I find some time to throw some paint at it.

Buggerat least you and your daughter are ok.
my brother tells me he is going to start calling his pajero "The Rover Recovery Vehicle" ... now rather than "The Land Rover Discovery Recovery Vehicle" (as he has a friend with a Disco on road tires that gets bogged often).
Poor old Rangie, I think I'll throw some paint at her this spring when the weather improves a bit.
My daughter asked today "can we go through the corner slower today?" on the way to school. I stopped and showed her the gravel that had been pushed across the corner (its litterally 50cm deep .... and the Rangie span the wheels trying to drive through it as I let the clutch out.... no wonder she stepped out so hard and fast I couldn't bring it back before ending up in the ditch!).

Whoops, wouldn't had t have an underwear change after that!! I know the sort of gravel you're talking about, there's a road not far from here that has similar type and I hate driving on that road (worse in the van!!).
