Thread: Stalling

Hi All,

Thanks for all of the replies and suggestions. I thought that I would give an update on the situation.

* The car has been driving beautifully since the stalling issue (and coming home on the back of a tray truck).
* I checked the roll-over switch - that was ok.
* I checked the fuel filter - to discover it was a BMW part, not a Land Rover part.

As I couldn't replicate the issue again, but also knowing that I don't know exactly how old the fuel pump was (it could have been the original) - I took the following steps:

* Drained the tank
* Cleaned it.
* Replaced the fuel pump
* Replaced the fuel filter

The car is driving nicely again - although as mentioned above, it was driving beautifully anyway.

I plan to take it on a longer run today to see how it goes - but so far, so good.

Silly question but .....


Did you have fuel in the tank? I find fuel gauges on older cars to be, well fanciful.
