heater core ..... that will be fun to replace![]()
By any chance is there a feed from the cars coolant system into the heater/aircon inside the car. I have a collant leak inside the car. Its a drip underneath the central heating unit behind were the vent control aire in the centre dash
If it does, is there any way to tap that connection off from inside the engine bay or do I have to start looking at pulling the heating/aircon unit out of the car
Its a 1992 classic

The heater core in those should be made from plastic and aluminium and pokes its connections through the firewall on the passenger side of the engine. To disconnect it just undo the two hoses and work out how to connect the hoses together, e.g. a joiner or take one hose off and route the other to its engine connection. To replace the heater core you need to substantially dismantle the dash to extract the heater box fitted to the centre of the firewall.
