Went to shut drivers door the other day on my 81 2 Door and it would not shut unless was slammed hard, this happened suddenly as was working OK when drove earlier that day. So figured must be a broken spring. Pulled out lock and yes it was a spring, the large one on the side which operates the locking mechanism. Anyone had this before and is another spring available. Have seen the ones available for the 4 Doors and Disco's, these are sort of same shape, has anyone tried these?
