My new to me 1993 Vogue SE

Finally i'm back in the RRC fold.

I just got my new 1993 Vogue SE, she needs a bit of work, but a bit of money has been spent on her.

She has a 2" spring lift, LT230, 17" dynamic rims with 265/65R 17's, modded ARB front winch bar, twin shocks up front and a Holley Sniper EFI system.

I need to sort out the central locking, replace a few interior bits, and figure out how the holley system works....

    Cheers

    Steve

Sniper system isn't that complicated. First thing to figure out is if you've got ignition timing control. I can't tell from the photos what dizzy you've got.

I expect you've got the handheld controller with a micro SD card. Download the sniper efi software on a compute (with micro SD card reader) - it'll help understand how it works.

Nice arty shots. Can see you've got a bit of wireweed growing there.

Can the Sniper system cope with lpg and petrol, i.e. dual map?

    Watching with interest.

Sniper is a throttle body fuel injection system. At its most basic level its a closed loop fuel delivery system. Ignition control is optional.

    Hi Drover,

yup it's got the handheld controller with a micro SD card, how would i tell if it has ignition timing control? the distributor looks like a standard electronic rover dissy. I did see that the CPS loom is just tied up and not connected, would this system piggy back off the rover ECU, or is it totally stand alone?

I did have an issue starting it today, i noticed the TPS was reading 84% when 0% throttle was applied, when i pressed the throttle, it ramped up to 100% and back down to 84% when no throttle applied! In desperation i unplugged the TPS and it started straight away... i can't see where i can reset the TPS....

I'll plug the TPS back in again tomorrow and see what happens..
    Cheers

I haven't found anything that allows easy switching between maps.

Well there are boxes of trickery around that do it when you switch from one to the other.

I'm just interested because if the sniper had this function I wouldn't need the additional box and if it didn't I wouldn't need the ign control on the said sniper.

I'd love to know the height of the thing from the manifold up too.
