Good point. I haven't checked the inner faces due to the difficulty of getting the gauge in there. I'll do that next, probably have to remove the mud deflector.

Thanks to everyone for your input.
I finally got around to replacing the front rotors with good quality ones and genuine pads. Problem fixed.
Moral of the story is DON'T buy cheap rotors.
