As far as I know the EAS in a Softie is pretty much stand alone and only needs a engine rpm and road speed input.
That shouldn't be hard to find with a wiring diagram.
Dose the TD5 take its rpm signal from the alternator?
But am I hearing you right, you put a TD5 in a soft dash???
 Blasphemy!!![/QUOTE]
Nay , forsooth the tD5 (enhanced) is the engine the Classic
deserves... Goes respectably quick especially up hills, would leave the petrol 3.9 far in it's wake (lady Sarah) without raising a sweat /increase in temp... And does it without a , ahem, 'drinking habit'.
The standard Classic fuel tank is a let-down when compared to the likes of Pajero, et al.
Having driven Gavin's Diesel Dan D2 and Bessie, she's a lot more fun and rides smooother. Or maybe that's the extra mass of that roof-rack monstrosity?
We need an Electrionics Engineer to nut out interfaces betwixt the warring factions... as the EAS ECU
needs to know velocity and engine liveliness... as well as the aforesaid safety features like door opens etc.
Or someone who can discern a devious work-around, feeding false information into the EAS inputs to gain required results. Alas, my talent is fiddling with and salvaging the working stuff, not 'Designing from scratch'
