    Tow bar tongue

My 77 RRC doesn't have a towbar tongue. It's the flat blade type with 2 bolts, not the square hitch style.

Can I get a tongue from Holden, Ford, whatever? Or are the bolt hole centres different?
If the RRC is different, can someone advise the centres, please? Don't have the car nearby to measure it myself.

    Thanks,
    Ian

    Thanks Meccles.
Looks like they come in all sorts of spacings. I've seen from 50mm to 80mm so far.

have a look at its ratings plate. I removed a similar towbar from a friends 'classic and fitted a proper hitch receiver type. The existing bar with that type of tongue was only rated at 1200kg from memory
