    RRC EAS Wiring Loom Question

Well this is a really long shot.

It appears that the guy who played with the EAS wiring on my LSE, then had the temerity to have a stroke and die, has left the wiring in a total mess. From a "gaggle" of auto sparkies who have since had a look - their initial thoughts are its so far gone/screwed up as to be almost unfixable.

I know you can get new full RRC wiring looms (I think ex UK at last mention for about $8,000 - and a bit beyond my ability to pay), but from left field am wondering if anyone has heard of the possibility of procuring a new EAS only loom?

Worth putting it out there just in case as an almost last gasp attempt to get the old girl mobile without having to go to the sacrilege of fitting coils and foregoing the EAS.

Don't have the old harness - basically destroyed by the old fella before he karked it. Having said that, I would have thought not impossible to re-create from the wiring diagrams, although there are quite a few interconnection bits eg rear window open = no EAS working. We shall see!

I have a soft dash LSE with all the EAS kit intact, you're welcome to come around some day and check that out. You have absolutely nothing left of the old EAS loom? No plugs or anything?

No, its the wiring that has disappeared/been butchered, the various plugs and switches are still there. Plus of course there were a few lesser mods done prior when the TD5 was installed by Don in Toowoomba back in about 2004.

I'm assuming you mean your EAS is still working, given that I remember your dad told me you were an EAS guru.

Once I can legally travel by car from Fremantle to Bunbury, I think my first task will be to visit you again.
    Cheers Gavin

Yes EAS is still working in Sarah, the LSE I have picked up has all of the EAS gear there but has had a coil conversion done, which I will remove. I've got enough spares to put the LSE back on EAS. And yeah my Dad would tell anyone that listened anything he could think of, doesn't mean it's true haha I am no guru, I've just had to learn a bit about it by rebuilding half the EAS in Sarah.

Ah, but your Dad told me just after you got her from superquag, when I called in - I think to drop off something from him? Your expertise must in part at the very least pre-date the good Lady.
