Range Rover Classic 1995 EAS issues

    Hello all,

I am trying to understand why my 1995 range rover classic suspension flashes under operation and doesn't lower when i press the button.

The system holds air fine and raises from lowered height to raised height but doesn't lower.
I have done a seal kit in the valve unit, there doesn't appear to be any leaks.

Does anyone have anywhere to head for these issues?

    thanks in advance.

Can't help directly, but if interested I have a couple of relevant pdf docs which I'm happy to email privately (not PM as a bit too large).

I'm thinking that might be the exhaust valve not operating correctly or at all. Maybe a bad solenoid.

Do you have a way of reading the fault codes on the EAS system? I had the RSW solutions program and cable for my old softie and it was invaluable when I refitted the EAS system back from coils.

Amen to the above. Start fossicking around here... if you prefer to do it on the cheep and have a spare laptop.

    Welcome to RSW Solutions

But... - I cheated when I was married to The Lady Sarah (1995 Classic with EAS) and I bought one of these instead, and it lived (still ?) in her glove-box. Also I added a switch for the under-seat plug and wiring to simulate the 'UN-plugged" state. (freezes the EAS computer)
Trust me, when you have a fault out in the boonies...and the suspension deflates... driving home in a 2 tonne go-cart on the bump stops is NOT fun, even on a freeway.

This is worth every cent:- EAS Kicker - BLACKBOX SOLUTIONS LTD

Not only for your Classic, but if you become even more unbalanced and 'update' to a P38 which Drives like a dream with a nicer engine, rides gorgeously on air.. - .and can be even LESS reliable than a Classic.... this unit will also talk to it's air suspension which is essentially the same, only mounted differently.
