    76 Range Rover clutch

Hi all, picking up a 76 2 door with a 3.5 engine on Saturday, it needs a new clutch, I have seen these cars with the floors removed in videos before but can’t see any detail on how they come out. Can someone body confirm if they unbolt like the series rovers or am I doing the job from underneath? Also the car is 4 speed with an after market overdrive fitted, not sure if that complicates matters at all.
    Thanks in advance.

You can do either the transmission tunnel can be a bitch particularly two fasteners closest to firewall under heater. Or drop it out from bottom removing crossmember etc. Both time consuming

IMHO, best to remove engine and do clutch from the front.
be careful not to drop the nylon clip inside the bell housing.
Check the gearbox oil pump shaft while in there and replace the gearbox front seal.

Also replace the engine crankshaft rear seal and change the gearbox oil pump impeller from the "fibre" one to a metal one.

I’m not sure if the metal gears are presently available.

See LT95 Steel Oil Pump Kit - KLR Automotive

    All 4x4 have a replacement:

Those sellers with a $200+ price are a bit over the top.
