    1991 Vogue SE central locking

    Good morning everyone,
the central locking on our 1991 Vogue SE has just started acting up. It is not unlocking from the drivers door but does from the passenger door. We have swapped the actuators but the fault remains. I suspect there is a controller lurking somewhere, maybe under the dash.
Can anyone point us in the right direction to where it would be?
    Cheers George

Hang on ..... Are you saying you had a Rangie with working central locking ?? I didn't think such a thing existed. Oneday I'll get around to fixing mine. Reading up on it in the past, you also need new springs to hold the mechanism up as well as new actuators. I did buy a set for my car .......... They are sitting on a shelf somewhere in the shed

Yes Shane I share your incredulity! Some research has pointed me in the right direction I think.
We have one 1987 RRC that central locking all works fine. Only the drivers door automatically opens the other doors. There is no controller involved.
The doors can be opened from both the drivers and passanger doors on the Vogue SE and is controlled by a DRC8069 controller.
As the doors can't be opened from the driver's door I suspect the controller is rooted.
Now to find it and do some testing.....

Landy G. I look forward to the results of your investigations, if you decide to post them. My 91SE unlocks all doors (not including the early donor rear liftgate of course) from the driver's door, but from front passenger opens all the doors except the driver's - which is fine for now. Something is going on, but haven't had a chance to look - other tasks are higher on the list.

Hi Spel1, well after attending to other higher priority tasks I have finally found time to look at the Rangie.
I found the controller PRC7921 bolted to the rhs steering column bracket and a circuit diagram. I verified that all the wiring was intact and all signals from both passenger and drivers door switch units were getting to the controller. I figured that the controller was faulty and replaced it with a second hand one. Bingo, all doors now working as required!
The most time consuming thing was hunting down the circuit diagram....
    Cheers George.
