Hi Shane, I was writing a response when I realised you're talking about a later model heater than mine. I did remember seeing this which might be helpful Episode 2 1993 Range Rover Heater strip down and reinstall - YouTube

while I have the center console out, I figure I better look into the heater fan. Apparently my parts car had a new heater fan and core fitted not long before I bought the car. Unfortunately I broke on of the frail plastic hose off the heater core when I extracted the motor. So I can't just swap the entire heater box over. I've all the clips and screw out, but can't seperate the top of the heater box. It feels like something inside is holding it together. I don't need to somewhere remove the fan from the motor do I..... it looks like it should just slide apart into two halves!

Hi Shane,
Combination of instructions from Haynes incl. supplement for later heaters:
Unscrew and remove the fan unit retaining bolts, pull the motor and fan out sufficiently to enable the fan to motor grub screw to be loosened then extract the fan motor.
Supp:
When the motor retaining bolts have removed drill out the pop rivets to remove the motor unit itself from the fan assembly.
Refit is reverse order using new pop rivets (which makes sense....... bit hard to use the old ones).

Thanks Guys,
I did find a document online.

the trick seems to be the re circulation flap needs to be pried up into a recess to allow the two halves to separate. I don't know how you could work that one out without someone telling you
I'll give it a crack as soon as I have some spare time!
